Effective prompt engineering involves structuring your prompt to get accurate, relevant, and high-quality responses from AI models. Four key components—instructions, context, input data, and output indicators—help shape how an AI understands and responds to a prompt.

1️⃣ Instructions: Directing the AI

What? Explicitly tell the AI what to do and how to respond.

Why? Clear instructions reduce ambiguity and improve response accuracy.

✅ Example:

❌ "Summarize this text." → Too vague

✅ "Summarize the text in 3 bullet points using simple language." → Clearer

📌 Best Practices:

Be explicit (e.g., “Explain in simple terms” vs. “Explain”).
Define format (e.g., “Answer in a table format” or “Use bullet points”).
Set word limits (e.g., “Summarize in 50 words or less”).

2️⃣ Context: Providing Background Information

What? Supply relevant background to help the AI understand the scenario.

Why? Without context, the AI might generate generic or off-topic responses.
